ANNETTE FISHER (CO CHAIR)

Annette Fisher is a practising international British/Nigerian architect. Her practice FA global operates in London and Lagos. She started her career working for commercial UK practices, TP Bennett, Rolfe Judd, and Whinney Mackay Lewis before setting up her own practice in the capital in 1994. Now her mission and ambition are to use her skills, privilege, position, and experience to motivate others to greater heights, and transform other people’s lives. She and her team are spearheading a global mass low-cost housing project starting in Nigeria to meet the 25 million housing deficit.

CHERYL PILLINER REEVES

MA | ARB | RIBA | PGCE

Cheryl was environmental consultant for the Francis Crick Institute and has run her own practice for over 15 years whilst also teaching. Cheryl taught on the Civil engineering with Architecture course at City University for a decade before becoming Head of Learning Tree with TEDI London - a radically new Higher Education institution. Cheryl is also RIBA part 3 examiner at the Architectural Association and founder of Archimake, an architecture & engineering academy for children. She is passionate about creating opportunities for young people in the built environment.

ANGELENE CLARKE

BSc | MRes

Angelene is a design strategist with 7+ years of experience and runs her own consultancy, Bearded Ladies. She has created informed strategic decisions based on evidence-based design methods to promote transformational change and refurbishment programmes for multinational companies like Ankor, NHS England and commercial banking sector. Angelene recently completed an Mres Masters progamme in Space Syntax Architecture and Cites at UCL and is researching how advances in AI are changing the way we interact with physical space identified as ‘The home’.

DR TERI OKORO (CO CHAIR)

Dr Teri Okoro a RIBA fellow, Chartered Project Professional and Inclusion champion, is founder and director of TOCA a RIBA Chartered Practice. She sits on the Diversity and Inclusion Panel of the Construction Industry COuncil, is an Expert Adviser to Historic England and has been delivering the RIBA 2020 seminars on Diversity and Inclusion. Her previous roles include being a Non-Executive Director within the NHS and also at a leading London Housing Association.

SUMITA SINGHA

Sumita set up Architects For Change, the Equality forum at the Royal Institute of British Architects and is past Chair of Women In Architecture. Sumita has served on many RIBA committees for over 25 years. She is a non-executive Director of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where she chairs the ‘People and Culture’ committee and sits on the Capital Investments Scrutiny and Quality & Safety committees. Sumita is a trustee of Architects Benevolent Society and the Commonwealth Association of Architects. She is a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust.

ANAMARIA PIRCU

Anamaria co-founded London based practice VATRAA in 2018, working on projects across Romania and the UK. With a strong focus on client success and a passion for problem solving, she successfully balances the needs, budget, and context of her customers with lasting architecture principles, sustainability or legal requirements, delivering projects which are consistently recognised by national and international media and architecture award. “We listen. We engage. We design with care” are VATRAA’s values, aiming to pioneer architecture innovation and challenge the status quo.
